Services

• HID offers 3 health insurance plans:
  – HIP Youth: 0-18 years of age; 21 years of age if enrolled in local full time education
  – HIP: 18 years of age and over
  – FutureCare: available to all persons over the age of 65.
• Hospital Insurance Plan (HIP) and HIP Youth:
  – Benefits consist of basic benefits covering mostly hospitalization, diagnostic imaging, some doctor visits
  – Basic dental coverage
  – Overseas care when medically necessary and personal home care service benefit.
• FutureCare: includes the same basic benefits as HIP and includes added coverage such as:
  – Pharmacy up to $2000/year
  – Smaller co-pay on overseas care
  – Eyeglasses
  – More GP visits.
