Deidre Jones-Mundy
Occupational Therapist
What I like to be called: Dee
People who knows me the best: Close family and friends
Things that are important to me: I’ve been blessed with a very loving and supportive family unit. I hope to emulate the care and stability my parents provided me as I raise my children.
I would like you to know:
Personal – I’m not a lover of pets and I’ll absolutely run away from your dog, hamster or amphibian!!
Professional – Having a comprehensive/holistic approach to Dementia Care not only taps into the individual’s cognitive changes, but also allows for creative management of physical, emotional and social dynamics.
My life so far: I spent my early “post-undergrad“ years working in the corporate sector in a Compliance role. The massive shift to Occupational Therapy has been both challenging and rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to cover a plethora of client populations ranging from pre-term infants in the SCBU to adults with neurological conditions. The nuanced nature of Occupational Therapy has endless reach and I’m enjoying my new role in the specialized area of Dementia Care!
